David Kosower receives the J. J. Sakurai Prize for Theoretical Particle Physics 2014
David Kosower from the Institut de Physique Théorique (IPhT) at CEA was awarded the J. J. Sakurai Prize for Theoretical Particle Physics 2014, jointly with his collaborators Zvi Bern and Lance Dixon, "for pathbreaking contributions to the calculation of perturbative scattering amplitudes, which led to a deeper understanding of quantum field theory and to powerful new tools for computing QCD processes."
The J. J. Sakurai Prize for Theoretical Particle Physics is awarded each year by the American Physical Society, to recognize and encourage outstanding achievement in particle theory. This prize was endowed in 1984 as a memorial to and in recognition of the accomplishments of J. J. Sakurai by the family and friends of J. J. Sakurai.
