All GATIS Fellow Positions Filled

With the start of the last ESR fellow at our partner at CEA (Saclay) on October 1st, 2015, all ESR (PhD positions) and ER (Post Doc positions) fellowship positions in the Marie Curie Initial Training Network GATIS are now filled.

We received in total over 216 applications for the 15 PhD positions in GATIS. For the two Post Doc positions at the coordinating institution DESY over 300 candidates applied. “We are very content with the immense interest of young researchers in the development of Gauge Theories at the interface of Mathematics, Statistical Physics, Computer Algebra and Experiment,” says Volker Schomerus, coordinator of the GATIS Project.
The funding from the EC has helped to develop an intense cooperation of senior scientists, non-local mentors and fellows. It is one of the central goals to set up a sustainable cooperation after the end of the GATIS Project, in order to continue the aims of GATIS concerning excellence in research and training of young scientists.

Even though all the GATIS fellowship positions are now filled, interested young researchers are encouraged to apply for open PhD or postdoc positions at any of the GATIS partner institutions.
