Founded in 1592, Trinity College Dublin (TCD) is the oldest university in Ireland and one of the oldest universities in Europe. It is home to about 17,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students across all the major disciplines, and it has a long-standing tradition of delivering excellence both in teaching and research.

The School of Mathematics has a wide range of research interests which can be roughly grouped under the following three directions: pure mathematics, lattice quantum chromodynamics, and mathematical physics. The detailed description of the school is available at https://www.maths.tcd.ie/.

Mathematical Physics group currently comprises 7 permanent faculty members, 2 postdoctoral fellows, and several PhD students. The performed research is devoted to such major topics as gauge and string theories, conformal field theories, AdS/CFT duality, holography, quantum entanglement, modular forms, scattering amplitudes, and integrable systems.
